Daily ride?

I'd go for the lowest millage K100 I could find. Very boring though!!!!!!! Just keep changing the oils and they run forever with minimum maintenance. Lots of cheap parts available and coz its so boring you won't feel bad about abusing it and leaving it dirty in winter. Heated grips that work and hard cases fitted are the way to go. Plus stainless exhaust. Airhead commuting not advisable.........just dont go there. At certain mileages they are worse than helicopters for maintenance per mile. On the plus side most stuff is easy to do and to get to. Hondas are good but unless you keep them regularly sprayed with WD40 they can seriously rot in places. Some Hondas better than others of course but they always seem to have the odd nook and crany you forget/can't get to/can't be bothered with and then you have the added entertainment of trying to find the cheap spare that doesn't come with the whole assembly. Exhausts always rotted on mine, from the inside out. At that stage you would also find that the exhaust header bolts are made of putty. if you want cheap commuting, buy a small diesel car. 50+mpg and you don't shag all your riding gear everyday for little or no entertainment value.
