Dakar 2011 - updates

wreford reading between the lines it looks to me that boundsy is after a place, and pavy happy to finish ???????????????????????

He's been working hard and is in 46th overall. Going well, plenty of time yet. :thumb2

Apparently, Boundsy's been using his "steady away" phrase a lot this Dakar :)

Just been talking to Jen. She is out of surgery and feeling ok. She sounds tired and spaced out. One leg is broken at the bottom ( both bones)
They have bolted and screwed her leg. She did go into details but I will spare you all. She is hoping to sweet talk the staff to get to use the wifi in the ward and she has alittle laptop with her so she might be with us in Internet world very soon.
She has lots to tell. I'll let her tell you all.
Just to say she is out of surgery and in her own room she is in good hands. And I told her about all the support you guys have shown. I told her not to feel alone as adv rider and facebook is going crazy with support. She was so pleased and asked me to thank everyone who has helped her active what she has achieved !
Thank you"

Good one Boxers!

What an absolute trooper.

Ironically, bet she is addicted to the experience and will be there for 2012 via sponsors.

Don't think I will be selling my jomo racing Dakar 11 shirt anytime soon then

"Thanks for all your support. I hate to let you down".

-- Jesus. What a top girl. Let down? Jesus Jenny, you gave it a great shot and at least you went and gave it a good shot. Let us down?!?!?!? Not on your friggin' nelly!!

It did look like a really tough day from the coverage on Eurosport

If Coma and Despres are having it so tough I cant imagine how hard it must be for the amateurs.

does anyone know how Piglet got on in the crash

Get well soon JMO

Piglet had a day off apparantly and did a bit of sun bathing so is well, upset about Mum of course but well.

Piglet has been having it easy, and has been traveling in the support vehicle with Patsy since the start of the rally.
