Ange and I ride along Sarn Helen to our chosen spot ..... chosen because there would be loads of action

We arrived at the bottom of the rock steps into the river crossing at eight thirty and waited for the first arrivals.

We spent the following eight and a half hours here, not a bad place eh?

I was doing the ORS course again and saw the bikes behind the ancient Briton. I pulled up to wonder round look at the bikes and see what it was about. Was challenged at the entrance and told because I didn't have a wristband I should feck off.

So that went well. There was an interesting moment on Sunday when 40 bikes were at the petrol station fuelling and 20 bikes came the other way. All observed by a police van with a police women at the wheel smiling and holding a hand to her eyes to not watch.

What a cracking weekend; one of the best I've had in a while.

Beautiful weather for the ride down on the Fri and event on the Saturday. Great band in the evening, even got a certain birthday girl up and giving it some

And so they begin to arrive, I stay the other side of the river to start with just to get a few photos .......... but it wasn't long before I'd need to be 'in the thick of it'

Probably just as well he came off there as it was only going to get worse on that line!

No problem. If I had my camping stuff there I'd want strangers challenged too. But I did fancy one of those very impressive looking roast meat sandwiches and wondered if any shops on site.

Touratech were closed early Saturday, shut Sunday and Monday. Given all the riders in the area seemed a bit odd, but it is Wales.

Not a good place to stop unless you have a 48" inside leg

The river bed was slippy so some of the big bikes did have trouble finding grip

No problem for Mark. I rode with him a few years ago, great rider!

For some it was all too much .....
