RallyRAIDio: Various sources indicate that Despres is on his last (3rd) allocated engine for the 2nd half of the rally; Coma is on his 2nd.

Anyone else find the coverage today (Sunday) on Eurosport a bit lacking?
Yup!
In general some great camera footage but commentary is crap (IMO)
Not sure about this "on the ground" crew that go round in the cars - the idea was good in principle but it just doesn't seem to work?
They need more interviews with riders and service teams (i.e. Desert Rose) at the bivvy. Coverage of the Brits has been pants to be quite honest and there's Pavey riding all day and working at nights on his bike. The guy DESERVES coverage for that alone.
..and then there was Jenny M, who worked her arse off to get to the start line with the bike build and funding from savings and all. Not one interview. That's not right.

They cover a privateer talking about his box of tricks and skip Si who was nearly out because of his issues? Where is the logic?Just seen this about Si Pavey.
Disaster strikes for Simon and staying in the race becomes the main priority.
In a dramatic and disastrous turn of events Simon’s race almost ended as the engine on his G450X gave out in-dramatic fashion. Somehow he managed to get hold of his spare engine, then changed it for the old one mid stage. It cost almost 6 hours in race time but Simon managed to finish the day and stay on course for his 6th Dakar finish.
