Erm, well when I saw an HP2 all those years ago I knew it was for me.....so luckily after they came down to earthly prices I got one....it was amazing.....apart from sore arse, running out of fuel, broken arms holding on, sore neck, tippy toes etc.....a few mods here an there and wehey, the ultimate perfek cycle.....except the niggles.....paint frame, I aint a big blue fan...more black and silver.....erm 17inch great on road 21 inch great off but always wrong wheels/wrong roads....maybe a bigger tank....HPN/TT etc...how much? gulp....and then... bugger I now own a GSA I sold HP to a fine friend who loves it....the GSA is a GSA...its wondeful but its not an HP2E.....I want it back.....but sadly no the new owner loves it to.....GSA great if wannabe Charley...but I don't quite, I enjoyed feeling like Mr McQueen or Malcolm Smith attempting some oversize ISDT...the only oversize being my own....whatever....the friend who loves it won't sell back....except shock horror its gone capput just today..... rattle bang, maybe dropped valve, I think perhaps a rattly injector butterfly...await feedback from BM Man...
What a pallava....maybe it will come home...maybe its a KTM until another HP2 surfaces...its funny how they came out new, sold out....new playboy owners realised that 12K toys where unusable, resold, suddenly dozens for sale at decent price and now have found loving homes and are sat all cosey and comfy not coming out...well best wishes to all you HP owners, you now who you are and why you're keeping hold...so do I....just seen a 730 mile KTM super enduro for £3995......now maybe.....damn damn damnhttp://www.ukgser.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif

Your favorite site for the following days...

BTW it is a good time to sell the GSA if you don't want to keep it. Don't ask me how i know this

I've ended up with both a GSA and an HP2 - the GSA works well for long distance work and two up, the HP2 for hooning around :green gri

I've no intention of selling mine - sorry :D

Hi mate,

Sorry the GSA is not working out and the HP2 mating call is to strong :D I think if you hang on for a bit something decent will come along as they always do.

Just check mcn for you as well online and not a single HP2E on there :blast

Luckilly I was sold on the HP2 from the first mile I did on it from the dealers. By the time I got home just knew this bike is not going to leave me easily if ever :beerjug:

If I see or hear of any around will drop you an email as well :thumb2

Vines in Guildford have one stashed I think in the trade in area I saw it a few days ago call Duncan Bell to findout what it is.

:thumb2

Blimey, just checked out the mobile.de site, there's flippin dozens of the damn things, thanks for the pointer HP MIC, however the prices aagghhhh 11,000-14,000 euros....oh no....I just sold a beauty for 7,000 quid......uhhh doh....by the way the fault with me old baby was wait for it.......an ingested TESCO bag....cursed supermarkets and their damn global domination and of course the pescy carrier bag, never have happened with a nice organic hemp holdall.....seems like it went in (HOW? kids?) and somehow the air filter was incorrectly fitted....last service BMW....next stop injector throttle body/butterfly....clatter and roar in one......

I am lucky enough to own four of them. No intention of selling any. LoIQ, I think that was one of mine you saw in Vines the other day, It only has 700 miles on the clock. I intend to keep this one a low miler and in original condition. I will be riding my Thai HP2 around the world next April. I also have another one in the UK that I used in North Africa this year and the other one is in Reno Nevada. I'll get aquianted with her in the next few weeks!:hug

Showoff :rob

I I enjoyed feeling like Mr McQueen or Malcolm Smith attempting some oversize ISDT...the only bike you need is a KTM 950 SE :D ....just seen a 730 mile KTM super enduro for £3995......now maybe.....damn damn damnhttp://www.ukgser.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif

HP2 or the KTM 950 SE they're both awesome bikes ...If you can't find a HP2 then you won't be disappointed with the Super Enduro plus you'll still have a big wedge of money left in your back pocket :augie

mmmmmm lucky man as they say, I''ve currently also got a fleet, well a very crappy XR 200 which is probably the best bike I ever did own, I am less daunted when goin to the wilds on that, and when it breaks which it never does I carry it home......I mailed Vines, NO REPLY as they say.....

pipster do you rate the ktm better than hp2????????????????????

pipster do you rate the ktm better than hp2????????????????????

Love them both to be honest ...I ride a lot with guys who own HP2's like Mav and Louisdut and I really think its down to personal taste ...

As to how they perform what can you compare them with they are both unique bikes in a class of there own...:thumb2

One things for sure the buzz you get out of riding them is addictive :D

agreed i do think that the MM engine is alot sweeter than the hp2e engine though!!!

At the moment German used prices are 30-50% higher than UK prices. Even new prices are lower in the UK.

Enjoy it while you can as this won't last: sterling will drop out of sight next May and we'll all be holidaying in Blighty as the Eurozone will have become unaffordable.

does somebody has bought a used HP2 in UK and brought it to the EU continent ?

If yes, what were the administrative things to do and was it expensive
to change the tachy to decimal ??

Thank you :thumb

Just got back from A J's ln Shipley went to pick up steel stand bracket for the HP noticed they have one in the showroom no price or details on it.Also noticed Sniffys stood round the back with its guts hanging out.
