Funnily enough I thought the same.Nice one Martin. Bike looks good.
Keep the exhausts on.
I nearly bought one a few years ago (pre V4) but it was too much of a departure from sports bikes for me at the time so I bought a 1200r Monster instead. Seriously thinking about a Diavel when I swap the Multi later this year.Plus it is an awesome bike and only my second Ducati after a 2006 (ish) 1000 Sport Classic
Just been out on it . It’s a bloody beast . Fuelling is do good with the remap and it cracks and snarls on upchanges. Red line currently 6000 doing running in but it still flies.I nearly bought one a few years ago (pre V4) but it was too much of a departure from sports bikes for me at the time so I bought a 1200r Monster instead. The Akra will definitely be staying on, though they are set to introduce noise limits over here soon which might fuck things upFunnily enough I thought the same.
Good to help your friend out![]()
I find it very comfy . Seat is much more padded than on standard Diavel .They look great, a real brute, well different anyway, but the riding position always feels woefully uncomfortable for my old bones. I think it's the combination of the mid-forward pegs & relatively firm ride that makes it difficult to lift one's butt off the seat on our broken road surfaces. I guess footboards would help, if available? , but I guess that's not really the image Ducati intended. Did I read it correctly - that Akra system costs over £4k + fitting.
Whatever, I hope you enjoy the new ride.
Glad to hear - probably just me. Enjoy.I find it very comfy . Seat is much more padded than on standard Diavel .
I may need to invest in the panniers and take it to the Picos
Having had a go on a VRod a few years back, I found hard acceleration a bit strange with the foot forward position. I would say, with the enormous grunt of the Diavel this will vastly exaggerated. ie, wanting to pull your feet off the pegs.I find it very comfy . Seat is much more padded than on standard Diavel .

You may be right but I find it easy to grip tank with knees and push feet into the pegs.Having had a go on a VRod a few years back, I found hard acceleration a bit strange with the foot forward position. Has never bothered me on my TMax! Just get used to itHaving had a go on a VRod a few years back, I found hard acceleration a bit strange with the foot forward position. I would say, with the enormous grunt of the Diavel this will vastly exaggerated. ie, wanting to pull your feet off the pegs.![]()
‘Tis a veritable bargainNicely done Arsey, nicest think I have heard of for a while. Mates are Mates to the end and beyond.
PS - I thought the full Akra for my V4 Rally was costly, have you seen what it is for the Diavel?

Funnily enough I had the same thought today . The regs haven’t been introduced yet as they are still debating what they will be . As you say , existing bikes might be exempt . We will seeMight be able to do something with the db killers eg extend them to get within the noise regs. Do the regs effect existing or just new models? I guess time will tell
Please dont advertise it on here when you come to sell it.Just been out on it . It’s a bloody beast . Fuelling is do good with the remap and it cracks and snarls on upchanges. Red line currently 6000 doing running in but it still flies.
Awesome bit of kit .
