Dance with the Diavel.

Thought you were changing exhaust back to original.
Nope.
Just having a Look in the box that got collected from UK last week and wrapping it in bubble wrap before shoving in the loft .

Ha ha . I knew somebody would comment on that .
Doubt that would be seen as underneath and hidden by a metal guard
In the spirit of transparency 🤩🤷

Is the Akra not road legal stamped ?

My Akra came with papers showing CE limit and compliance

When in Europe I carry the certificate with my vehicle papers

Yes - you can relocate foot pegs to the normal position

Ducati sell a kit

Not even too expensive

Nice day here so went out for a potter .

I’ve deduced that the bike is a bit overpriced.
As specced with the Akra system it costs 5 times that of a Himmy 450 but only has 4.5 times the power .
Obviously needs another 20bhp. Bugger 😜

First service booked for next Month in Rennes. Will be interesting to see how it goes away and how comfy/uncomfy it is at speed with my fucked back and nerve issues.
If it’s ok I might be tempted to get some luggage so I can go touring on it rather than just days out from the house in France .

The OE Ducati stuff looks ok

But its silly money and you need to change the tail light and fit a backrest.Oh, and it’s not waterproof, FFS

I’m pretty sure I SW Motech do luggage for the standard Diavel so perhaps they will for the X as well at some point , otherwise might have to resort to rucksack and a tail pack .

The Akra system is more expensive than the Himalayan 411 was and only adds up to 15bhp. The Himmy had more than that at 24.5 bhp. You should sell that Akra and add a Himmy instead. :D

Might look a bit shit though 😜

Probably won't look as shit as those OE panniers....they look like a huge musclebound weightlifter would look if he wore a pink cap sleeved t shirt and burgundy spangly lycra hot pants....

Does the Akra exhaust have a cat in it? It looks like it does, having that big collector on there ..... seems like if they got rid of the cat, it could just be all straight pipe ...
I put an SC project can on my RS, and it came out a little loud imo. The baffle is fixed, but could easily be cut off. I thought about putting the stock can back on but it weighs a ton and is the size of a old style computer bag lol ... The loud pipe does keep me from rodding it all the time for sure. It seems fairly normal in sound, until you really gas it, then it sounds like a snarling Porsche ... When the cam shifts it cracks, especially when still warming up ....
Loud pipes save lives they say .... in the colonies here, we have a couple of deer species that are smaller than the red deer and they are everywhere. Many folks have died hitting them on a motorcycle. They tend to move at dawn and dusk so that is a good time to stop and have some breakfast or dinner .... And loud pipes do help in that regard ... Or ride behind your buddy who has a an HD .... lol
I think if you want to tour on it at some point you'll think, why am I on this .... I have a Wing at home in the garage ........ like say in pouring rain or whatever ....
