Dance with the Diavel.

I think you may be confusing me with someone who gives a shit 😜
Couldn’t give a flying fuck whether it makes 140 or 180 bhp . It’s stunning to ride . But you seem obsessed with cats and odours . Weird.
I couldn't give a bleep bleep about this bike so it seems we have common ground. And you need to remember that many folks look at these posts so you yourself actually have very little to do with it imo ...
But the issue with cats is for the best for everyone. In 78" I worked as a lumber worker or lumberjack if you will. We would work two weeks then take a weekend off and drive back to the front range area from western colorado, down into denver. It was an amazing site to see, coming down into an ocean of smog that followed up the canyons and leveled out at some preset elevation. It was both sickening and sobering to see this. And by then then push for emissions had begun. That push has no doubt saved us. There is no such cloud here anymore. Yes we hated that stuff, inspections catalytic converters, lead in the gas too. It has proven to work and progress has made in making this equipment work much better and less interfering with performance.
So it's obvious I'm just promoting that we leave the emission stuff in place on the bikes... It is important ..And I have been able to prove there is hardly any difference anymore. For instance a M100RR ran 191 on the autobahn, box stock with the stock exhaust, measured by satellite ....source: mototop tube channel ....

But I am interested in what is going on with this particular exhaust and what is in it and how it works .....

Don’t think you’ve proved anything , if he had ridden the bike with the cat and then without he would have no noticed , the handling ,braking and noise of course.
I’d be glad to see the link to the proof other than some top speed run……

So the X-Diavel is officially barking !
I’m in Brittany with it so the first time off island and giving it a bit of stick. The change up point is currently 6000 rpm as running it in .
First service on Tuesday in Rennes .
So I only took it up to about 7000 rpm today and it flies . It cracks and barks on upshifts using the quick shifter and the sound from the cheap full Akra 😜
Will be interesting to unleash the full 181 bhp after its service .

Lovely looking bike, stock exhaust suits it too, I sorta get why you change exhausts, I always did the same with any stock exhaust fitted to any of my previous bikes. (An Individual thing!)
Kinda looks like a Triumph rocket from that angle, (adjusts glasses) but of course Ducati's :devilish:, much nicer, So is Rennes loved that place.

I didn’t change the exhaust. My mate who owned it first did

Love the bark from an Akra, just never faniced splashing the cash on one so far.

Delkevic always suited my needs, on previous bikes, less weight, road legal straight through silencer, apart from baffle when fitted, and low cost too.

Yeah, this full system is £5k FFS but it sounds amazing and adds 13bhp to the standard 168bhp.
Very smooth too. Just a shame it’s a tad loud at 108db !.
Two gendarmes on bikes did wave today though !

Exactally my point, £5k, I paid less for my old steed complete, but that is the Scotsman in me.
Power gains in the older days where if not mistaken via a power commander to sort out the power increases.
Too much faffin about for myself doing that stuff.
Too old now for modern bike buying, but if I had the spare mullar, I would certainly go along same lines you have done.
Power to your butt, louder is better, they hear you coming, and admire you going past. :green gri
Most Grannies are deaf anyways.....:duno wha, wazzat? :rob sounded like a jet Doris.

Do Gendarmes Bobbies on bikes cycle two by two? :D

I can guarantee that when you complete the running in period you won't be unleashing it's full power, you'll sh!t yourself first 😉. What rpm is max hp? What road do you plan to reach those revs whilst holding the throttle wide open?

one of the many things l learned from Giles is

Go full throttle when exiting a bend even if it is only for a second or so before the next corner
Full throttle gets you to max power

I admit that it is a scary thing to do and tends to warp the horizon on a powerful bike ......

Been using the bike in Sport Evo which is on full power .
But noticed yesterday when I looked at the Sport Evo that power was set to ‘ Medium’. So it was in full power but medium delivery , if that makes sense . Set it to High and it’s even sharper now . The bloody thing is ballistic 😜
And that’s not having sampled the last 3/4000 of the rev range yet !
First service midday today though then it can let rip .

Daft question, I assume you have a place there so you don't need luggage? Or you have some sort of special panniers? Can you strap anything to the pillion seat?
