G'day folks,

A mates Wife is looking to organise his DAS for his birthday (I know...and no, she doesn't have any Sisters) and I've been asked for any recommendations.

I haven't a clue about that area myself (they live near Tower Bridge) so if anyone here can give me some feedback on folks they have had DAS training with near this area I'd really appreciate it.

I can't promise he will become a Tosser but I'll give it my best shot!

0800 6520677 gets you Motag Rider Training HQ.

They have a section based in the National Sports Center in Crystal Palace.

Good Instructors, good results & we service/repair their bikes for them.

By DAS I assume you mean the training before the motorcycle test?

There is a training organisation who use the large artificial football pitch on Glamis Road, Wapping, not far from Tower Bridge. I see them from time to time at weekends, riding around cones and whatever.

I have no idea who they are or if they are any good but a Google search may turn them up. Or, I guess, the lady could wander down there?

EDIT: I think this may be them. http://www.academymotorcycletraining.co.uk/?gclid=CNHU2vjQuJYCFRU7EAod-mM2Kw If not, probably as good as any and not a million miles away.

Aspen rider training

My wife (Physiojo) and daughter both trained with these guys in East London last year.

They did a good job of training them to ride not just pass their test. Might be better to be a little bit out of central London. They do a lot of practice in Essex and Kent. Tests usually taken in Sidcup or there abouts.

regards,

Path.

I would second Pathologics recommendation. The fact that I work there part time as an instructor does not influence my recommendation one bit!:D

Seriously, Norman the boss is very professional and does things properly. He only runs CBT on a 2:1 ratio (DSA allow 4:1 for the off road instruction element of CBT) and he is very much orientated on teaching customers how to ride a bike rather than how to pass a test.
