I haven't had the bike long enough to have put more than a few tankfuls through, but today I noticed something strange.

The normal display modes are odo, trip 1, trip 2, clock and voltage.

The reserve light had just gone on and as I was scrolling through the above I noticed a different one. It was a trip with a fuel pump symbol. It seemed to be counting the miles since the fuel light came on as far as I can tell.

A few moments after re-fueling it disappeared again.

I can't see any mention in the rider's manual.

Anyone else have this feature?

Yep no worries as soon as you light comes on it starts to count down I belive to empty. So what is showing is what you possibly have left range wise. I don't think it counts up as what purpose does that serve unless you know how much further you can go. But I may be wrong:):):)

I'm 99.9% certain that on mine it counts up, as if to tell you how far you'd gone since the light came on. Unlike my K1200S which does count down.

Both take a minute or 2 after refuelling to register and cancel the trip meter.

Thanks guys. Mine was counting up too. I guess they assume you will have an idea of the miles per litre and can do the maths:toungincheek

Worked for me that way. I'd already established a rough idea of what I could get out of reserve if ridden carefully, and when I filled up, I was able to get in 8.69 litres, and I reckon I could still have gone another 10 or 15 miles.

I have always made a thing out of tank range when I was commuting and would regularly get > 290 from my F650GS, so I reckon I shall be regularly over 155 on this little beaut.

NB I do ride like "I bought it":angel
