Anyone else got experience of the Keihan headers? Thinking they may be the way to go for my 07 GSA.
To be honest, I'm dissapointed with my Akra headers. They just don't fit properly and won't fit snug against the outlet manifold.
Anyone else got experience of the Keihan headers?
I bought a set of Akra headers for my 2010 TC and had endless problems trying to get them to fit with the touratech sump guard. the front balance pipe was angled so in the end I sold them on and fitted Remus headers. I sold that bike but have bought another since and fitted Keihan headers to go with my Akra end can. The Keihan ones are beautifully made and over £200 less than Akra's. The Keihan ones also have the balance pipe but its straight just like the original headers so everything fits beautifully.
I have a set on my 2012 TC with the free akra can. They are a good fit and a great priceAnyone else got experience of the Keihan headers? Thinking they may be the way to go for my 07 GSA.
It looks to me like the only reason the decatted headers perform better is the lack of a cat, so better gas flow. It also seems like decatting a standard exhaust won't give as good gas flow as a set of new decatted headers, though whether the difference would be noticeable is debatable.
Sounds about right. But before spending £350 for a Hilltop remap I'd rather add £150 of used aftermarket header and be sure its got a reasonably good flowing system.
I found a local company that cut the out the cat for me. The guy who did it used to work for Janspeed, he has done a fantastic job and only £200.00
