Well it seems to be a much bigger problem than a duff battery. Something is draining the battery more than it should be on shutdown. Dealer has been on to BMW tech and they haven't come across this before but confirm the draindown is excessive.

So it's now a a full electrical strip down until they find the cause. if they pull the main 30A fuse the drain stops.

Will keep all updated. Well impressed with Barry Robson so far.

Mines a lowered version so it's not something I want. I will be pushing for a goodwill voucher or something at the end depending on how long it takes to sort. The bummer is that I was taking my ROSPA Gold test next week, looks like I'll now be doing it in the snow
