Dead Battery

Well that was a shock. 3 weeks storage on a Trophy and flat as a pancake. AGM, garaged, No tracker or alarm.
Most previous bikes would go a couple of months in storage.
Optimate to rescue but had to go direct to batter as DIN docket refused to wake up.
Not me to self- ‘leave the bugger on Optimate’
 
Been there. I got the BMW charger for £100 which has stopped all the swearing since.

Got the Quad 4 but apparently the Din/Canbus route allows only a certain level of charge to the battery. Once beyond this voltage drop in battery it makes no difference what you connect to it.
No sparky but that’s what a Beemer tech has told me. Just leave it on now.😁

The quad 4 may recover a deep discharged battery.
The battery needs to be removed from the machine; and will recover provided it has not suffered any cell damage from the deep-discharged battery state. See the note at the bottom of page 8, in the manual 👍
 
Yes know that. I had to go direct to battery at first. Now it has sufficient charge it works through the Din socket. 👍
