Hello all - suggestions welcomed for a recently dead 1150GSA.

It's been sat for a couple of months, battery has been charged up, but all I get when trying to start is a heavy clicking sound - not the starter motor, sounds like a relay rather than anything else. Also, starter motor not moving at all.

My tendency is to think starter motor relay, but any other suggestions welcomed.

Ta!

Before doing anything else, try a jump start from a car battery (non running) using the external jump points on your bike. +ive is located by your left foot, -ive to frame. If the bike starts your battery is goosed, if not then start exploring.

My 1150 used to eat batteries if left unstarted for any period of time regardless of being connected to chargers or not so I'd start there.

There's no alarm; shouldn't be any current drain when it's off (although I've never actually tested that..)

Although, what does assume make....?

Battery it is; found a few dodgy wires and a blown power socket fuse as well, so worth the effort. Bad news is that I decided subframe needs refinishing, so bike is now in bits!
