Dead Quest

I've got a Quest 2 which I haven't used for about 15 months. Yesterday I gave it to someone but they tell me it no longer charges.

Garmin want £90 to look at it and I'm not prepared to send it to them if they're going to tell me to bin it.
It hasn't been charged since I last used it. Has it had it or is there something I can do?

An option could be to get the connector lead to power it up from the bikes battery or accessory socket.

First thing to establish:

Is it charging on the bike?

Is it charging in the domestic charger?

If it charges from neither - It may be the battery. But - even with a dead battery - the unit could still operate while plugged into a healthy power supply.

You need to do a bit more checking before sending the unit to Garmin, I think
