2 questions if I may:

1. What are people's experiences with Bahnstormer thus far both for servicing and buying bits and bobs?

2. A Triumph-related one for my Daytona. Apart from Rafferty Newmans where else can I get my Daytona serviced within say a 75 mile radius?

Cheers,

Not had my bike serviced at Bahnstormer yet, but their prices are more reasonable than some.

Their parts and accessories dept is good, you can usually badger them for some kind of discount and they hold a fair amount in stock.

The only Triumph dealer I've ever had dealings with is Haslemere Motorcycles. TBH, I had a less then stellar experience with them when the clutch on the 2nd hand KTM950 I bought from them was knackered. They sorted it all out eventually, but I really do think it should have been properly test ridden first before they put it out onto the showroom floor.

Bahnstormers service was good, although they don't at do MOT's.

They were pretty pricey for Tyres - so I went elsewhere. I realise that they can't compete with specialist tyre fitters (£100 more expensive than micheldever for front & rear Tourance)), but their labour rate is what killed the deal on the tyres. When I can get a man to my door, to fit tyres at my convenience for £50 less than a dealer, then I know where the money will be spent.

Their parts department were really helpful locating some parts that I wanted, and when there was a delya in delivery, they rang me to let me kinow. Which saved me a wasted trip (OK I'd have phoned first before setting out - but they pre-empted that)

So I'd say they're pretty good:thumb2. They'll certainly get repeat business from me.

My 6K service at Bahnstormer was a pleasant enough deal, seemed a reasonable price and if I'd done my homework I'd have figured I could have got a new Tourance for less than I booked at my local tyre dealer.

Following that I bougt a topbox (hate them) and we came to an agreement on a slow/wet Sat that I'd buy it now and they'd fit for free (mines a 2006 that needed the rear re-shaping to fit) and since I watched the guy do a superb job thru the glass into the service area, sipped coffee and warmed up .. that was pleasant too. Took him almost an hour.
