Dealership opening Cardiff Jan 09

Just returned from the NEC show and had a chat on the BMW Stand with Conrad who asures me that Riders BMW will be opening Jan 09 with the fully backed dealership open by March. Riders have been building the brand new purpose show room for a while now and it is on Sloper Road in Cardiff just up from The football club.

Each year at the Bike show we get told this, I'll have to pootle past the next time I'm in Cardiff. I'll still be sticking with my independant for servicing tho'

Luckylucian this time it might well be true as the building DOES Exsist. Riders began construction on the site about a year OK and origionaly it was going to be Harley/Buel now it appears it is going to be BMW/Ducati.
If you are referring to Mike at Cardiff Motorad as your independant I too hope Mike stays where he is as I have used Mike many times for my BMs since Rydale went but just at the mo with a bike in warrenty I have been travelling to Bristol and a Cardiff dealer IMHO would be more than welcome

Riders were supposed to have opened a Harley/Buell/Ducati dealership in Sloper Road by March '08 then it was August '08 and in October this year, Riders of Bristol told me the whole thing has been shelved.

So don't hold your breath!

My bike is with Mike today having Willbers fitted. He told me of the new dealership opening. Apparently it's going to be a Harley/Buell/Ducati/BMW operation. I'm staying with Mike.

Popped into Bristol Motorrad today for the second key that I claimed under warrenty due to them only giving one and the wallet key on purchase. Any way they are fully aware of Riders BMW opening in Cardiff. So I think this one is defo going to happen. On Riders web site it actually lists Sloper road under its location section giving a phone number as well.

As I bought my Harley from Riders of Bristol, I'm on their mailing list and today received confirmation of the new dealership opening. Due end of March, and only BMW and Ducati mentioned.

Me too, but perhaps because they know I changed from a Vrod to a GS, mine says-

State of the Art Riders Centre in Cardiff

Expect to open before 1st March 2008

The purpose built centre will house a BMW Motorrad dealership and Ducati store
