Hi,

I have never owned a Harley but have friends that do so I am fully aware of the pros and cons.

I have had three BMW's a Funduro, F800GS & K1300S. The Funduro and F800GS no problems at all, the K has had one recall before i collected it from NOG (new) one done during a service and one when the starter failed. They have just changed the LH switch gear under warranty, not bad considering the bikes done 12,000 miles and is nearly three years old.

No sign of rust anywhere including the 1994 Funduro !

My friend with a three YO 883 Sportster with 3500 miles on is re-painting the tin wear !

So the k has has 2 recalls a failed starter and a knackered switchgear after only doing 12k and only 3 years old? and you reckon harley has problems?
