[the civil one]

I just took a mad notion that i needed to change my lap top
for no aparent reason other than i have it just over a year.
I bought this one second hand and intend to upgrade
but dont really know what to .
Basically i use my lap top to acess my emails ,browse, send or
recieve pictures of Buses or parts of busses, i think i may have written one letter which i printed off , thats as afr as my use goes.
I now have and am fairly happy with {cos i dont know any better} a compaq armada 700 .

I have seen two that i think sound O.K.
what do you that know think !
1 Sony Vaio :2 yrs old.intel pent 3 , DVD ,cd/r windows xp microsoft office.256mb ram 1.4ghz processsor, 20GB mem
windows 2002 real player quick time, adobe photo 5.0,cannon zoom browser ,microsoft office .start up discs and manuals.
Guy says as new Asking €750 .Think he will drop to €600 for cash.
2: Dell inspiron lan card usb X2 15inch screen256 mb
Not so much detail from this guy he says it is a current model and to look up the web for a dell1550 he is asking €1100
slightly harder to deal with think about €1000 . 9 mths old.
What do you guys think of these !
