Lovely bike!

So have Fowlers flogged all their "specials"?

Lush.
Shame about the dealers!

Don't like the sound of that. Why ?

Mind,i've got an idea. I got there today to find they had Registered and Taxed my bike, , , ,

And Built & PDI'd a different one then fitted it with my Plate and Disc!! Took 'em a couple of hours to Build and PDI mine. :o

Blimey!

That's a nice machine. Those 06 SuperDukes sound very tempting indeed...

You will love it!! Just traded my 950SM for the 990SM which I am running in .They are Fantatic Machines and a right giggle every ride. the 16 tooth makes it better in town and for wheelies!!! You'll never be without an orange bike now!!:thumb2

Took the 950 SM to the Manx GP. Just shy of 700 Miles showing when i arrived so i booked it into Road & Track (KTM & Y*m*h* Agents) for the 1st Service on Tuesday of Race Week. No Problems reported,Valve Clearances OK so all it needs is some use !! Weather was Crap all Week and when i got Home today, there was only 1200 ish miles showing .
I'm now saving up for a Winter Bling/Mod Fest :D.

Do you like the ride? handling? is a 16t Front sprocket needed to lift the front? and lastly as i'm scottish, how much was the 1st service?

:aidan

Ride and Handling Good, Std Gearing is high so 16 T Sprocket does seem to be needed. Can't remember cost of Service but i'll be collecting my Luggage tomorrow and i'll check the receipt when i get home.

Dee Tee,

I've just put a deposit on one of Fowlers 07 950SM's (orange, like yours).

How did you find their service and is there anything I should look out for?

I'm going from a GS1200 so it's going to be quite a change.

Jac,Things with Fowlers did not get off to too good a start.I arrived to find they'd Registered & Taxed my bike, but Built another one and fitted my Plate and Disc to it !! Had to hang around while they built mine and was worried sick on the 160 mile ride home (took the scenic route to try and miss the rain!) just in case something was not tightened up etc.Happily my fears were unfounded and the SM has run well ever since.I had the 1st Service done on the IOM by Road & Track while at the Manx GP and to be honest will be looking for a Dealer closer to me than Fowlers for future work, for convenience as much as anything else. No problems to date,as i posted earlier, but there are only 1200 ish miles on the Clock.

orange

Iv got an orange bike!! but iv told her if she doesnt stop using those shite sunbeds she's outta here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks DeeTee.

I hope it continues to go well.

I have to ride it back to Essex - some 200 miles or so. I don't suppose the motorway is the best way to start running it in - how many miles until that important 1st service?

Fortunately I've got a KTM dealer quite near (Jim Aim) who have said they're happy to service it although they didn't supply.

By the way did you get them to fit an alarm & was it an Acumen Cat 1?

JC

1st service @ 600 miles, valve clearances get checked so Aims will want the bike cold before doing job.I left mine overnight at dealers so they could start first thing.
I did not get an alarm but may well get one fitted as i am planning a Winter Bling Fest !!
