Degreaser recommendations

Diesel is ok if you don't mind having your bike covered in ....... erm ....... diesel :blast

A water washable product is always best ......... :thumb
 
Gunk is now junk thanks to the HSE. Jizer is probably about the same.

Do they still make full strength traditional recipe industrial versions for people who can make their own mind up about whether they want to take a risk?
 
Go to your local Polish car wash and ask them for some TFR (traffic film remover) it shifts anything. Do a search on eBay for Seller kaz01462, they sell it by the litre.
DO NOT put it on paintwork undiluted. DAMHIK:blast

Or any alloy parts which it will turn black almost immediately.
 
If you know someone in the drycleaning industry

Get some perclorethylene.
Bloody brilliant. Will lift some paints, but moves oil/grease instantly.
Be sure to wear rubber gloves and be sure area is very well ventilated. A glue sniffer's heaven

Sulphuric acid. . . Gets rid of everything too

Muck off is expensive water soluble and reasonably good.

If its lighter crud and insects I ve taken to using Liquid Gold (turtle wax) seems one of the best shampoos I ve used and must have some teaffic film remover stuff in it i think.
 
A good squirt with wd40 then when the thick is off a spray with Muc Off then a scrub with a brush and hose off :thumby:

And some random bollox given to me ....

Brilliant on the van to at dissolving bugs and tree sap , removed old dirt from around the window rubbers and bike carrier ...... :)
