The best invention on emails is delayed delivery so that email to the client that you know he will ring up about at 5:00 just as you are heading out of the door gets delivered to him at 6:30 so he phones you the next day :thumb

Question: can you actually delay emails using hotmail too ? If so how do you do it ?

Hello ....

Can you actually delay emails :nenau I didn't know this facility existed until I read the above statement in another section of the forum.

If you can delay to recipient from sender how do you do it? and can this be done with most email accounts ?

I'm intrigued to know ... can anybody help?

It's possible to delay sending mail in OUTLOOK (not express ! ) by up to 1 minute by setting the delay in a 'rules' mode.

It may be possible to delay webmail but presumably this will depend on the particular application. I haven't found anywhere listed in Hotmail for example, but maybe Yahoo mail does ?

In Outlook you can delay it by minutes, hours, days, or weeks if you want.

Click on new message, then click options, then tick the button that says 'Do Not Deliver Before' and select the day and time.

As long as you're not using a personal folders as your default location to deliver mail to, you can even close your Outlook client and the message will still be delivered at the specified time.

It's quite usefull if you're the last one in the office and at 6pm just as you're about to leave, you send the boss an email saying "I stayed late last night trying to resolve 'that' problem, so I'll be late in tomorrow", then set it to deliver to him at 22:30 :D:D:D:D:D
