Taking more interest now, reading the instructions..!
I'm guessing they've got round the uk laws by saying ' auxilary brake light' which means it's not designed/legal to connect to existing brake light. (Amazingly California it IS legal)

Anyone know where I can pick up some new Denali D4 light kits at a reasonable price.?

Won't work on the existing brake light because it only intercepts CANBUS signals and does not send them itself.
