denali kit from a bike thing

im considering getting the kit from a bike thing, which consists of spots, horn and ezcan thing.
also a modified bracket to set the lights further back near the radiators on the standard gs.
anyone bouight from him and is it an easy install?

Not bought from him but the kit is good,watching one of his install vids didn't like how he ran some of the wiring but I'm a bit picky for neat invisible as poss installs esp wiring

i thought that also, as far as i can see, its just a case of connecting the ezcan to the battery and then plug and play the rest, but as you say hiding the wiring is crucial

A bike thing are Very good, Steve Abel the owner is on here to iirc, I’ve bought my R Nine T tail tidy / rear light from him as well as some lighting bits and action camera stuff.


He’s a really nice guy, good customer service and can get him at the end of a phone if you need to. He’s also willing to help out with any tech questions if you have any kind of glitch.

You will be fine buying from him.

I've just recently purchased from him. Nice guy but more importantly I had an issue with one of the circuit cables in the Cansmart package that came wired incorrectly from the factory, Steve sorted it while I waited so from a customer service point of view, excellent.

I did it by just lifting the tank rather than removing it completely but there are still a load of plastic bits to take off.

I had an S4 bundle fitted by Steve a couple of days ago - he knows what he's doing and the kit itself is really good...although I will need to get used to the SoundBomb; it is effin loud!

I had a full D4 and B6 kit from Steve and apart from a little misunderstanding which earned me a "sneaky Bob" monika I was/am very pleased with the results. The modified light bar is well worth having, it places the lights in a great position.

Personally I stripped the bike, plastics and tank, it takes time but is not difficult. It's possible to get away with doing less but in my opinion you are taking a shortcut that could cause problems.

Routing the cables and tie wrapping them correctly might just save you a lot of grief further down the line.

Depends on what bundle (and extras) you have - figure on £200+, which I reckon is good value considering the time (and more importantly, the knowledge) that goes into stripping and correctly reassembling bodywork.

I’ve booked my bike in for 20th to have one of the bundle kits fitted plus rear brake light. I don’t have the time or inclination to attempt installation myself.
