Just put a deposit down on a new '2010' R1200GS Adventure (the one that doesn't exist yet). :JB

This is the culmination of 2 years dreaming. I got my bike license when I was 17 (30 years ago) and then promptly got a car and never rode a bike again until 2 years ago when I went on a 1-to-1 3hr lesson to renew the skills. Since then I have been on two off road skills course and one on road skill day. I have been riding a borrowed KTM 950 Adv for the last 4 months.

When I suggested buying a bike to SWMBO two years ago it was a definite NO (safety grounds). It has taken a really cute Cocker Spaniel puppy and continuous gentle persuasion to finally win her around. Now she is looking forward to a ride on the pillion.

Incidentally, she never said I couldn't buy the gear, so over the last two years I have accumulated the full tw*t suit, GS boots enduro helmet, Zumo 660 and most recently a System 6 helmet. They called me 'catalogue boy' on the offroad course.

They say that if you are not allowed to have something it makes you want it even more. I have just become obsessed.

P.S. I haven't ridden a GSA yet, I rode the GS briefly at the end of the last offroad course. I plan on going on a long test ride in the next couple of weeks.
