Well after much deliberation I manned up and placed my order today

It's a personal BIG pat on my own back for getting promoted to clinical paramedic team leader :D

So I have a Blue 1200 GSA TE with my name on it. Threw caution to the wind and have luggage, Nav5, Akropovic and tinted screen and winglets plus alarm and tank bag :D

I instantly loved the look of the ADV and the test ride sealed my fate  I enjoyed owning all my previous GS's and I'm sure this will be no different.

Planning some big trips in my mind already including a return to morocco :)

It helped getting a very reasonable £6k trade in on my 07 K1200GT plus NOG have discounted all the accessories to the tune of 15%.

Looking forward to getting it hopefully end June early July :D

Congrats, thats what l have fitted to my white Gsa TE plus the enduro bash plate.

One thing thou...... Take the baffles out of the akroprovik as it sounds soo much nicer :)

Get an alarm fob too what you are at it. The auto arming alarm will piss you off otherwise.

Sounds great fancy one myself, had a test ride and that's the fatal mistake so I'm in a dilemma should I or should I wait??????.
But great to hear you have got one coming so enjoy. and congrats on your promotion used to do that for a living, brings back memories or should I say nightmares, lol stay safe.

Thanks for the nice comments :beerjug:

I assumed the alarm came with a fob or two as my K1200 has the bmw alarm  I will certainly ask for one so thanks for the heads up windy :thumb2

I did have the enduro bash plate specified but was not sure if it was compatible with a crud catcher so will ping mr hooton a quick pm ;)

Radiator guards and a headlight guard are the only things I'm planning on fitting plus a mud sling.

Best book a few more overtime shifts :eek  :D

If you did this madness for a living you definitely deserve one :D

Bike medic.... Job done :D

I'm 13 years in now with London mob with 18 years pension so a band 6 role is most welcome.... Hence new toy :D :beerjug:

Cool when I was a paramedic bikes were a dream, they were just coming out 3 yrs before I left.
I worked for Lancashire ambulance service then at Blackpool station, some 11yrs ago it was a good job but management sucked and ruined it for me so I left for pastures greener.

There is a mass exodus from London and a national shortage of medics. I think a lot of the youngsters come in keen and get firmly shoed in the nuts with the pace of work and sheer work load. It's not like casualty on TV!!

I covered 120 miles today in Central London :( from Heathrow to Tooting etc. a real beasting but the job has been good to me and I still enjoy it.

Oh and it pays for expensive new toys :D

Yes for sure,I miss some of my old colleagues but now even they have gone or died. When I first started it was really a blast, then there were only ambulance man miller qualified, then it all changed with the introduction of paramedics, and management divided and conquered as men and women clambered to be paramedics for free!!!!!!
The job is a good job as long as your dealing with emergencies and not toothache at 4am.
anyhow I'm off to bed, enjoy your new toy and ill dream of mine.
Great talking with you maybe well meet up stay loose regards nick

Ohhhhhh nearly forgot what colour did you order??????? Please don't say white because that's mine!!!!!!

Went for the blue. I wanted white with a blue seat but they couldn't do it. One day I might paint it white so I will have an "SE" ish one :D
