Deposit paid and looking forward to new TE.

Had a 13 plate standard model, the difference in then & now is incredible. Counting down the days

Just had a short test ride but immediately the gearbox felt so smooth ( I went with the gear shift assist on new bike), I'd a bit more confidence in the steering also. Suspension set ups & ride modes id not much time to play with. I've around 300 mile trip home once I pick it up so it'll give me a good first run.

Have you got a delivery date yet-I ordered 1 last week on the condition that I get it before the end of December so I get the free nav5 but haven't had the date confirmed by the dealer yet.

You only need to order it before December 31st to get the sat nav offer. The bike can be registered any time up to 31st of March 2016.

I think you may be getting confused with the finance offer? The free nav5 offer ends 31st December and I have had it confirmed by BWM customer services that the bike needs to be both purchased and registered by 31/12 to qualify. If you have anything that contradicts this please let me know.

All the best with it Martin - you can't beat a new bike feeling.

Cheers.

Should have it 1st week December. Bike has to be registered by 31st for the free nav offer.

I've not ridden anything other than the TE so interesting to hear you say what a difference the latest 1 is to what you have now. What colour/extras have you ordered?

That was my understanding for getting the nav5 too.

Did you pay the deposit yesterday - if so that's quicker than I've been quoted for mine. Has your dealer got a dealer order the same as what you want or changed his order to match what you wanted?

Hope we both beat the deadline!

Cheers

Ade

I just read it again and you're right. I was reading the two offers as one.

Went for red. Only addition is gear shift assist, it seems to be getting mixed reports so time will tell.

No worries, it confused me too when I read it. I was hoping you were right so I could register it next year instead so it was a 2016er but I'll just have to stroke it in my garage if the weather is rubbish over the winter and console myself....

I went for Red too but didn't bother with either keyless or the gear assist pro. I was disappointed there was no optional kick starter. :jes

Martinvrs, If it helps, the gear shift pro seems to take a few thousand miles before it settles down. I was miffed with mine at first because it was so snatchy. I'd concluded it was better to use the clutch. However, after a few weeks, it's now its actually usable (and fun ) from 3-4-5-6 and 6-5-4-3 .

Relax you made the right purchase.
