It does however look the 'mutts' and that among the 'herds' of 1200GSA's you see nowadays is priceless

Well, i've had the Desierto on my GS for a couple of weeks and I hate it.........!
























Nah......Only kidding.......!

I really like it and i'm fiddling around with the screen to get the sweet spot.

It'll never give as good protection as the original screen set up but the wind blast is lower down and I can see more if that makes sense. The bike now looks black because of the fairing and it gives the front of the bike more bulk and it really does look more aggressive.

All i need to do now is make a wee extension for my GPS bracket so I can mount the Zumo 220 on the Desierto 3 subframe crossbar.

Can't post photos on here but i've put a sh*tload up on Facebook.

They were even fitted to the Long Way Down GSA's originally but BMW told them to take them off the bikes and put the original stock screen back on again as the Touratech Desierto altered the 'identity' and 'diluted' the BMW GS brand image and made it a Touratech bike.

I'm not bothered how good the Desierto is on motorways as that's not what I bought my GS for........Same with my TKC 80's and half of the other Touratech stuff bolted to my bike. I tend to ride on A, B and farm roads and around the odd field aswell and the GSA can cope with most of that well enough.

I'm not even sure that the Desierto 3 is that good or even better.......It's just different and gives the bike a completely different character from all the other GS's out there.

Touratech Desierto 3 fairing for 1200GSA 08 on has just made £340 on ebay.............!

A wee bit better than £580 for a new one from Touratech

My heart just skipped a beat I saw the upper blue picture and thought fug ugly who would do that to a £500 piece of plastic, then i saw the bottom picture and now I MISS my old Dakar that got stolen for Ripley Derbyshire .

Love your paint job, looks exactky like what I thought the BASTERD of a F650 Dakar would look like IF it screwed one of those older B17's stealth fighters. Angular and Mean with a neat paint job Grrrrr.
