Does anybody have any experience of the touratech Desierto fairing on an !!50 gsa compared to an add on screen deflector, the buffeting with a peaked helmet is relly starting to piss me off now:mad:

Cheers

Andy

Peaked helmets became popular as a means of keeping mud off goggles when mx racing. Although they are good for keeping the sun out of your eyes, travelling at anything much over 50mph is not really within their design purpose.

They will always be a problem without major changes (expense) to air flow around a bike. To be honest apart from looking "cool" they don't do much else for a road bike.

I know someone here who has only ever ridden his GSA with the Desierto as it was on when he bought it. He's never mentioned any buffeting in all the years he's owned it. :nenau

I've got one.... but not on the bike yet. Need to save a monkey for the paint job i have planned.

What about Tobinators? They came on my 1150GS when I bought it so I took them off after a while and the buffeting was terrible... they're back on now ;)
Worth a try?
