Sounds like a plan :thumb :D

The only down side would be having to ride south on the boring B48 through the Pfälzerwald to Annweiler. :thumb

This takes you past Johanniskruez, which is a bit of a mecca for bikers (of all descriptions) :D

Now you've got me all excited again :clap ... will there be another T shirt? :bounce1

Cliquey shit? FFS :blast Folk (me included) went oot their way to help you. :(
For which I thanked you, and am truly grateful, I just won't attempt to be humorous again if everything I say is going to be deliberately taken out of context and misinterpreted. I will simply stick to the dry facts.

Oonyack is a fag and fancies the 'andsome chap in my avatar.:ymca

Ah right, the military road?
Thanks. :)

Is that rideable on a GS then? Legal?

I've walked it a few times and it aint rideable, there are a couple of styles on the Glencoe side.
It is possible to go up the pipeline on the Kinloch side as far as the Blackwater Dam. This pic is looking over towards Glencoe.

Not legal though :augie too busy with walkers in the summer and the weather doesn’t really allow it in the winter. Great place to play on a trials bike.

The written word is often easily misinterpreted, I'll give you that. Easier when folks have met up and know the other's humour. TBH I thought you were spoiling for a virtual fight with your earlier posts but will concede that if you were having a joke, I completely misread your posts. Easy done.

As an unfunny Irishman (no' Tuned In :D) used to say: It's the way you tell 'em, :thumb

Am I right in saying there isn't much in the way of legal trails in Scotland?
Seems a real shame. Stunning scenery, much of it with hardly a rambler in sight to upset and ya can't just jump on a trail bike and ride it.:blast

Trouble is it isn't. It's the way others read em, not what is written.
Read things with the thought that everyone is out to have a crack at you then things come across that way.
Read it with the thought that most people come on here for some light hearted banter and entertainment, then it comes across in a different light.
I concede what I wrote pre :oonyack could be taken a couple of ways tho.

Thats not to say I won't take the piss out of you Jocks (and expect the same back) tho, its a way of life in the army. :thumb

Thats something to look forward too:rolleyes:

Instead of trolling as you know you are cause your bored, get out and meet some of your fellow Ukgser's

You'll end up having a new outlook on the place

p.s. never have guessed you were a squaddie

"p.s. never have guessed you were a squaddie"

I agree because I was always led to believe that squaddies were brain dead, brain washed and brainless. It's what comes from being led (indoctrinated)by officers who are mainly inbred public school upper class twits who need underlings to massage their egos. What happened at Deepcut?

Even a squaddie would realise that you can't be brainless AND brain washed/braindead.
Whaddaya know?:nenau
Thick civvies easier to brainwash than the average squaddie.:D

Great point well made.

Naw:augie

Have a look at the Forestry Commission site- it lists the 'Forest Drives' that are open in the summer months.

So Ronno when's the ride to be?

Early May weather has been brilliant the last couple of years and Oony's Applecross ride at the beginning of May this year was far and away the best days riding I've had in Scotland this year. (Even if I did blow the FD input seal trying to get home for roast Sunday dinner!)

Plus if we are going to the west coast it will still be early in the midgy season and the little bug___s won't be out in force.

And, for AdamA, the only Devils Staircase that I know of is a footpath, as has been said part of the West Highland Way, which I've walked just once, slowly. You probably could get a trials bike up there though! I saw hundreds of Red Deer up there, beautiful. About the only living things to be seen apart from walkers.
