Diagnostics????

Do you mean the GS911 tool?

I have one and find it very useful although I could still do my own servicing without one. It's useful when balancing the Throttle Bodies and you can reset the service reminders etc. Best thing it will help with is diagnosing a fault. I have only had a couple of minor ones show up, but it did point me straight to the problem. I bought mine secondhand off this site.

Thanks for the info.
I am based in Southern Spain, and already run a guided trail tour company (Riders of the Lost Trail). I am going to be getting a GS quite soon to start running mixed on road/ off road tours along side what we do with the smaller enduro/trail bikes. I have a very good spanner man, and have thought that we could offer GS servicing for those either touring Spain, or on their way to Morocco (there are plenty!!).
I was thinking of trying to get hold of the most comprehensive bit of kit we can that will help with diagnostics/ fault finding.

GS-911 comes in two basic formats, USB or USB and Bluetooth connectivity

After that you choose Enthusiast Version or Professional Version. The difference being the Enthusiast version is limited to 10 bike VIN numbers for maintenance functions where as the professional version will work with an unlimited number of VIN numbers for the maintenance functions.

Any GS-911 will connect to any compatible BMW bike for fault diagnostics.

If you want to offer maintenance to a load of different bikes you want the professional version. If your going to use it solely in a workshop with a laptop you don’t really need Bluetooth.

Yours did great work sorting the non-canbus K1200RS ABS issue too:thumb2
