I have a pair of Denali S4 on my Guzzi V85TT
They're far too bright to use (unless on full beam) for normal riding without a dimmer. For the last couple of years I have been using a Skene IQ-275 dimmer which has been great. I have the S4's on at 20% brightness all the time as DRL. This is bright enough for extra visibility (for drivers to see you, when riding with the bike's DRL on only). I live down country lanes, so when using full beam I get the full brightness. It's been a very good setup.
Last time I was out on the Guzzi, the S4's were not working. The Skene had failed. I tried a few things but it was dead.
So I splashed the cash and bought a "Dial Dim" from ABIKETHING - https://abikething.com/product/dialdim-lighting-controller-universal-fit/
It was simplicity itself to fit. It took a couple of hours but most of that time was taking the tank and panels off the Guzzi. The kit was plug-and-play. I am very pleased with the result. I now have a dial on the handlebars and I can vary the light output of the S4's on the go.
It also has CANSMART/EZCAN functions, so I can wire it to the indicators and have different functions. It also has the ability to daisy-chain a Denali horn to complement the original (crap) Guzzi horn (a later upgrade I think).
Anyway, just a quick product check-in. Very impressive piece of kit. Does almost everything a CANSMART/EZCAN does, but you can fit it to any bike (or any vehicle) quickly and easily, and you can move it bike-to-bike if you swap bikes... An investment protection if you like...
Maybe this is the route Denali are going because I see you can get vehicle specific kits for the Dial-Dim for Africa Twins and the new Triumph Tigers...
