Differences changing exhaust on 2010 model!

I had an 07' GSA fitted with replacement headers (no CAT) and akrapovic exhaust. I have just part exchanged it for a 2010 model so I put the stock headers and exhaust back on the 07' bike and have fitted the replacement headers and akrapovic to the 2010 bike which fitted perfectly however, there are two problems!

1. The heat shield (the cheese grater with three screws) is different on the 2010 model as a result of the exhaust valve. This means I can't use it on the akrapovic exhaust as the brackets on the Akro are in different positions so I need a shield from a pre-2010 model.

2. Because the 2010 bike has a bigger diameter exhaust pipe I assume to accomodate the exhaust valve (which by the way I have disconected the cables from the solonoid to remove the valve) I now can't use the 2010exhaust clamp on my headers to connect the akrapovic exhaust! So I now need a clamp from a pre-2010 bike.

Has anyone got both or either of these they want to get rid of or, does anyone know where other than a BMW dealer I can get them?

Or, does anyone know what the diameter of the pre-2010 pipe is so I can source an exhaust clamp that fits?

Anyone that's interested the diameter of the pre-2010 pipes is 54mm.

Hard to say! When I replaced the stock pipes and silencer with the headers and Akro on my 07' it made a huge difference but I have only had this 2010 model a week before changing them so its hard to assess the difference. As a comparison with the 07' bike the 2010 bike is definately quicker with much more torque in all gears and the gearing is better. Now with the new pipes etc. It sounds and feels great. I think the biggest difference is the throttle response, it is much quicker on both without the Cat.
