Being roughly halfway down the eastern side of France, between Calais and the Mediterranean, it’s a popular enough destination.

I hear very good things about this hotel.

Apparently, it’s best to book the restaurant in advance.

Interesting one. I personally don’t look at anything below the “blue” Logis rating as it gives me a good indication of what to expect. However on the last trip one of the locations the blue was completely wrong. Kitchen was dreadful not worthy of any accreditation and the hotel was tired and run down.
Price for menu look reasonable but the location so close to the airport and without secure parking would put me off.

Having said all that if it’s recommended then that’s important and should be something to go on

I only post up reviews on locations I have personal experience with so I can give an honest opinion based on my own standards

We didn’t stay at the hotel in the title but can thoroughly recommend Dijon for a night or two. Some great restaurants and bars around the main square, plenty of history and a good feeling about the place. Very little rubbish strewn about. Just nice relaxing city to visit.

Dijon, once they had finished digging it up for the trams, is indeed a nice enough city.

Some good roads to hoon around on in the region, too.

Yes, Dijon is definitely worth a visit, the center is very nice 👍

I stayed in Hotel les Ducs with my group. Just around the corner from the main square. Gated parking too. There was a nearby West Indian bar serving discounted mojitos during a happy hour. Ideal for pre-prandial refreshment. Trinidad bar is still there, and shown here near the hotel https://maps.app.goo.gl/9Ct45Y4vRCWQNSh38

I certainly try to avoid them on any of my trips. Simply no interest in getting snarled up in traffic. Smaller towns are fine….
…… But then again I am on 2 wheels…..
Get with the program ! You need a wobbly box costing six figures, then stay in hotels instead 😜
