thanks for all the replies - i went with my head not my heart (story of my life !) and have just clinched a great deal on a mint 97 R11 in red with abs, grips, guards, panniers, fbmwsh etc
puts me back where i was a couple of years ago before i foolishly sold my last R11.
clinched it last weekend - my 40th !
(i think it was colt who suggested i get one for my 40th even though i was planning on waiting till spring so thanks for planting the seed mate !)
now the plans start.............
a few accessories (screen, engine bars, touratech stuff etc)
a few weekends (snowdonia? the scafell, snowdon, ben nevis trip? so many to chose from, are any of them full already?)
some long rides to..........who cares where ! and.............
an 1150 adventure somewhere down the track cos that one's my dream bike (and sometimes it's good to keep the dream a dream !)
see you on the road and on the bb and at the hopper (for those in yorks) from here on in !
