It wasn't raining and the temperature had struggled up to 3.5C so thought a we run, the first for a week, was in order. Over to Dunoon and up Loch Eck would be nice.
Put on all the gear, pushed the bike out the garage, climbed aboard, started the engine and the oil pressure light didn't go out. It just dimmed a bit.
Hmmm!!!, thinks, electrical?
Hair dryer to the connector at the pressure switch as everything round here is a bit damp and cleaned the connectors under the cover at the right side under the tank. No difference.
Anyone had this happen? Any ideas what to check next? :nenau
I'm using HD20-40 oil and it's done 4,000 miles since the last change.
Thanks,Dave

Clean the earth, and light feed up in the RID area? Or WD40 and hope for the best, assuming the engine doesn't sound like it's about to let go

Thanks John

I'll try that. The engine sounds ok with not too much noise from the tappets as I'd expect if the oil pressure was actually down. Let you know. Thanks, Dave
