Having had nothing but bad service and attitude from Dimensia in Nice, France, they have since gone bust.
For a year now I have been trying to get satisfaction from BMW as I have a diesel 1200GS.
Dimensia looked at it several times with the usual, "they all do that"
No, they don't, mine's dreadful!
Today I found large quantities of bearing metal in the oil, this couple with really bad vibration and noise from 3000 upwards, makes me worry.
The oracle at a very respected UK dealer says, "get the oil pressure tested, I've known a few with main / big end bearing problems"
So, being close to Cannes, I call the dealer and ask for this service, so you want a service?", no, so she passes me to head mechanic who says it won't run with low oil pressure, then turns to a colleague without covering the phone and says, " I think we've got an idiot here"
One very irate phonecall to BMW France later, the very pleasant dealer in Monaco is looking into it.
The morales of this story are:
They don't all do that.
If you're in this part of the world, forget Cannes, Nice no longer exists, go straight to Monaco.
And finally, if you value customer service, don't move to France!!
