:nenauHi all,
2006 reg 1200

I have read as many of the dip beam problems/threads as I could find. I have had the failing bulb syndrome however it now seems a bit more serious.

With the last apparent bulb failure I took the back off the lamp shell and found that the push on connector on the back of the bulb was scorched only on the side that the brown wire connects to. To the extent that this side of the connector was burnt brittle and fell apart when pulled off the bulb.

I cut back the wire and replaced the connecter with a new one and replaced the bulb all now seems ok.

Any thoughts on why this should happen is there a short somewhere or has the connector been loose causing arcing. Is there some fault elsewhere that is the cause. ????
