My pal (aka Capt. Beakey) has a pair of mudflaps hanging down from the back of the cylinders on his 1150, and keeping the crud off his boots. Does anyone know where I can get something similar for the 1200?

For that matter, anyone know where I can get some sort of rear wheel hugger / mud deflector. Any sort of country road ride in this weather leaves me with boots so badly crudded up that I have to clean them before SWMBO will let me indoors!

I'm not sure flaps from the cylinders will help much, I find nearly all the dirt on my boots comes from the rear wheel.

I made a nasty side flap from rubber that stops a lot of the crap from the rear. Since I fitted a front mudguard extender I'd say that the front wheel doesn't fling onto my boots at all, so that's worth a try too.

Have a look here here...

My boots have been a lot cleaner since fitting fender extender, but like Mouse most of the crud seems to be coming from the rear wheel. I have made a temp hugger using rubber car mat, but I think that the situation will be greatly improved with a proper hugger(when I can afford it)

Hi Birdseye join the rest of us waiting for a rear hugger to come along that keeps all that crud off. Hopefully early March if Dutchman is right.

I fitted the Wunderlich 'mudflaps' to my Adventure before Xmas, and they definitely stop most of the crap from going over my boots. Not sure if they're available for the 1200 yet.

Charles
