Collected bike last night after having all its gearbox seals done (see "Gearbox Leaks" thread) and a new clutch plate - nearly made it home! Engine packed up 2.5 miles from home - so close I decided to push it rather than wait for RAC. Took me an hour and a half and 5000 calories...... I suspect the fuel pump has shuffled its' mortal coil, so it now looks like I'm about to go through all the faults detailed in all other threads. Good job it didn't pack up in Italy or Switzerland in June!

Nice One

Nice one Bertie

Is nice to see a biker after having to push your precious, you are not slating BMW until your are blue in the face, not going to phone the world and complain and not trying to caculate how much compensation you might be able to get of someone.:spitfire

RESPECT:bow
(ALTHOUGH YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO):mcgun

My fuel pump controller stopped doing its thing in Austria this year, on a Sunday. I reckon I was sorted quicker than if it had been just down the road from a dealer in the UK. One quick call to Carole Nash breakdown, bike was ready by 10 a.m. Monday morning.
