Just tried to remove discs from an alloy wheel prior to getting it powder coated. First attempt snapped the end of a Torx socket. Second attempt did the same to a Torx T Bar. Neither were particularly cheap tools. Any suggestions for better quality ones up to this job?

A hot air gun to loosen the thread lock 
+1 on heat then use shock treatment always use top quality bits
