Discoloured headers

I've read about cracked headers as a result of using exhaust wrap. How many others on here have used a wrap, and has it caused any problems?

I thought that you are going to post the pic on here but anyway , there is no harm to be done to your headers specialy if you have taking off the cat :nenau
My friends in Australia there are using the exhaust wrap to some very nice expensive sport cars for years , never herd busted headers etc . Well that's way is cald exhaust wrap :rob

I wouldn't advise using Autosol on chrome, it cleans it up, but to a dull, matt, shine. As I found out when a colleague decided to show a mate how good Autosol was on the chrome headers of my last GS whilst I popped in to his house to use the loo. That little patch he did, before I stopped him, always stood out like a sore thumb.

Well, I'll always admit when I'm wrong, and this is no exception. I don't know what my mate did on my previous GS, but today whilst cleaning the bike, and after what other posters have said about how well Autosol works on chrome, I decided to polish my chrome headers that were in a disgraceful state. It took some elbow grease but I can now say they look as good as new (well almost, I ran out of Autosol ). I now heartily recommend the use of Autosol on chrome
