DIY Bash Plate???

Saw somethign here while ago for skid plate

looking make better job for the 1150gs, most only supply them for adventure.

want be able fit my crash bars and have better strenght.

anyone here made one or have a drawing for one?

are the rubber mounts necessary? can you just mount direct to eng or is it to do with vibes and act like mini shock absorber when bounce off rocks to stop casing getting destroyed

The 1150gs and the adv are the same bike with minor differences.

Mostly in seat, tank size, braided lines and colour.

A bash plate for a 1150gsa will fit a 1150gs as its the same engine.

You'll also need the two ADV rear sump mounts which requires the main stand to be removed to fit them. And then you'll need to feck about with the side stand springs as the spring attachment is in a different location between the GS and the ADV.

how do the crash bars mount to the adventure underneath

mine are just bolted onto the smaller plate
