A little bit of everywhere...
Off to Manila this evening, work trip, some rock licking involved.

A big comfy seat at the pointy end for the first leg (Etihad), then a substitute (read: older & rented) plane for the longer leg. Apparently leased from ‘Vamos’ - a Spanish plane rental group.

Let’s hope for well maintained planes and experienced crews!

Off into the wild blue yonder, will check back in with suitable photographs of rocks and exciting culinary delights as and when I come across them.


Ignore if you’re a dyed in the wool ‘bike trips only’ type of person.

Sometimes they trust me with laces, sometimes it’s just Velcro slippers from Cosy Toes…


I always loosen them and take them off after take off.

Wear them whenever I’m ‘out of the seat’.

Old habit. Want to have comfort but not pee soaked socks. And keeping them on for take off is handy if you ever need to bolt away from the plane, though these days I’m not doing much ‘bolting’ anywhere!!!
 
There was the legendary ‘emergency descent’ on Air Tanzania, where the instructions from the professionally trained crew was

“Get off the plane, and run away!”

Some interesting flights on the more local African carriers…

I would say shoe size but I don't like what you have on.😅
