Do we do work trips?

A man needs a hobby. :D

I have read of the gold deposits further North in the Star Mountains...We are downstream...Could be worth a punt once the rivers start flowing again....But it could also be worth identifying where they stop.

I need to work out the mathematics of gold weight Vs flow and gravity to find the accumulations.:D
Any trap sites work - gold is very dense.

There are some good videos on how to improve your panning technique!

Another day dawns in Manila.

Due to fly home this evening, but Etihad is not allowing my boarding pass to be issued, so I suspect the flight may be delayed due to the typhoon.

The predicted track of the storm is just south of Manila, so if we do get airborne it’s likely to be bumpy!

Poor logic.
presumably it’s ok to use the lift if there only a fire, or only an earthquake…
I experienced a quake in Santiago once, the building was newly completed and I was presenting to the owners in their double height board room - very fancy, as befits the Chileans.
The long hanging lamps started to sway gently and the room went silent, everyone looking up at the lamps.
I barely noticed, as I was there to ask for additional budgets, so was a bit distracted and just kept on jabbering away.

They gave me the $$$$, I think mostly because they wanted to get out quick!

Arrived in Tokyo about ten years back, with the family. We went to a Korean barbecue restaurant, old building, second or third floor.

Just got served when the earthquake started, all the extractor hoods swaying. Dead silence, no chat. Kids said “what do we do?” I said “watch the locals”. They all just as suddenly relaxed again, the chatter started, back to normal, so we just ate our meal. I think it might have been different if someone had decided to leave…

Same.
Lived in Chile between ‘96 and ‘99. Picked up a wife there 😀😀😀.
First experience was in the office on the 10th floor.. just about lost control over my bowels which my colleagues found funny..
Thereafter experienced many. One was a real biggy but I was at street level but the noise was like a low thunder roll but continuous for about 45 seconds. That was really scary….
Oh yes, i still have the wife…..😀😀😀
