Do you GOO your tubeless tyres...if so, which GOO do you use?

Just curious if anyone uses an ultra-seal type of product, and if so, which one would you definitely recommend from actually using it...

I'll get man goo out of the way straight off the bat!!

Not me. I had a bad experience with a front wheel that wouldn't balance. Ruined my laps at the Nurburgring Speak to most of the tyre dealers (watlings etc) and they're none too impressed with it - some wont patch a tyre if it's full of gunk.

I carry a stop n go kit under the seat and a baby compressor under my luggage wrack ....

Ultraseal and the like is fucking horrible stuff and your tyre fitter will be angrier than an angry thing when he changes tyres and can't clean that shit off

I'm sure someone will be along in a minute to say Ultraseal saved their life when they had a sudden deflation on their way back from but I think it's a waste of money.

I've got a stop & go kit plus mini compressor....never heard of rat tails? Anyone got a nice linky for these?

And where did you buy the rat tail kit?

I've tried a few of the other links and they appear inactive...

Used to goo but also had front balance probs, now it's the rats tails n compressor model for me. I have seen the tails work when lot,s of other plug systems have failed very versatile things

Don't goo it Keith it's shite horrible changing tyre after it's been used and fucks wheel balance up ,Once had it put in my Lexus car was like riding on a jack hammer matey save your money

I see many punctured tyres in my job never seen goo work once, stop n go is the only way

I've experienced a couple of rims now that have corroded badly, in what i consider a short time, both had a form of goo added, i have too admit i've never used any of the modern stuff myself, but as others have said a repair outfit is a great thing to have, you can even use it for others (i've carried a kit and compressor for years and never used it for my own bike)

That,s a fair point Shep since I started carrying "the gear " I have only had one puncture on my own paraffin pony BUT I have fixed a fair few for others at the roadside

The dreaded goo can also stop your tyre pressure monitors working if you have them fitted, My GSA had gooooo in from the previous owner and the monitors failed, thankfully the dealer replaced under warranty as they had sold me the bike with the said goooo already in.
