As the more observant of you will note, I bear a more than passing resemblance to my new avatar the astonishing Margaret Rutherford.

Now, who amongst you out there thinks they're the spitting double of say....Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise....actually knowing the average age of us GS'ers it'll more than likely be Sean Connery or Patrick Stewart.

Anyway, who do you think you could double for.....and prove it!

I'm struggling to see the resemblance Gail.... give it 30 years and ask again.

PS: Maybe it's better if other people suggest dopplegangers....

Actually, the weird thing is, I do seem to have a doppelganger.

Back in February I was in Burford and a chap called "Mark! How are you?" from across the road, and came over to talk. I didn't know him from Adam, and delicately tried to explain that I was dreadfully sorry, but I really couldn't place his face and could he remind me where we'd met.

He then listed a whole load of RAF bases where he'd served (I've never been in the RAF). I asked him if we might have met at one of my mate Colin's parties (he's ex-RAF), and he certainly knew Colin, but hadn't seen him in years.

We chatted about a few other things, then went our separate ways. Really nice chap - wish I had known him!

I'd got his name and gave my mate Colin a call - yes, he certainly knew him too, but hadn't ever had him to a party.

So, a random guy comes up to me in Burford, knows my name, thinks I served with him in the RAF and knows one of my best pals.

It seems I have an RAF doppelganger.

So I'm looking at my avatar and asking:

Are you laughing at my 1200? ....she doesn't like that...I'd like you to apologise to my 1200..

Clint Eastwood :nod that's me.....

Wow MCC, that's well weird! Mind you, on an unrelated theme, we bought a bungalow 30 miles away in a tiny village. Told one of our friends about it and she used to work with the woman who used to live there.....there's only 15 houses here in the middle of no-where! Spooky or is the "everyone is related by 15 places" thing really true?

I have been told by a friend that they saw me at a BBq..i was not there, nor did i know the host...she was convinced it was me........i have seen a doppleganger though.....of my dad.

It was not long after he had passed away, Mum and I were in a fruit shop near to where my dad had owned his shop....i had seen a tall grey haired man at the counter in front of me....a woman approached him and asked if he was Mr Cou...He turned round and said not as he knew my Dad had passed away, we spoke to him outside and that was really freaky, even down to my Dads military mustache, stance, walk, hair - the lot.

Can't win

Unkind boys called me Harry Hill when I wear my fashionable black framed glasses.

And Dr Evil with contacts.

I think I look like Orlando Bloom with a go faster hairstylee :D
