Just after covid I passed through Malham on my way to one of the Dent meet ups. Every layby pulling in spots were full of camper vans and van lifers ( lazy no good twats ) hardly any when riding round yesterday.
Must have put a stop to it.

I live on the edge of a city, in a terraced house....nice and comfortable but no land or view to speak of....

Is that the Devil's Bridge at Kirkby Lonsdale? I stayed there a couple of night on my last UK trip back in '19 - pissed down the entire weekend so spent the time curled up in an armchair next to the fire in a pub with a few good books and few more good pints!
