Something a bit different for a Doc does. Not sure if it's worthy of a trip report but I'll post a few pics up of my trip.
Some of you might be interested. :nenau Something I've been doing for a while picking bikes up in Europe and taking them to various destinations. Been to Iceland, Faroe Isle's , Ireland a couple of times and various other places. Usually I fly commercial but if I'm lucky I get to fly private.
This trip I fly out to Budapest tonight to pick a bike up and ride it to Saint Malo and then ferry to Guernsey.
Mileage is about 1300 miles and given myself four days to get to Saint Malo. Overnight there ferry then Guernsey and maybe a night there before flying home Monday. Think the bike is either a GS or GSA 900. Suppose I'll find out tonight. 😄
Hopefully the weather is kind and aiming to do 350 miles per day so I get a bit of time to relax in Saint Malo and only hotel I've booked. On the way there I'll sort out digs on the day.

Not

Not sure yet Martin.
So many options

Think I’d be tempted to mix it up.
You could do a chunk of motorway ,taking the northern route through Belgium and then have a play in the Ardennes before getting back on autoroute or take the southern route and ride the Deutsche Alpenstrasse in the middle before getting back on the autobahn.
It’ll be bloody boring sat on motorways for four days .

Please tell me you’re not running drugs in those scoots?! lol
Surprised you’ve never mentioned this vocation before. 😂

Curious to see how you'll take to the F900 after your regular steeds......

I would guess that the roads on this route, will be mostly stuffed with lorries…..

Keep safe

Take your time and do scenic roads. Some Alps passes should still be open.

Might be tricky with 1200 miles to cover in 4 days.
300 miles per day is too much on back roads 4 days on the trot.
I’ve just done a week away doing about 170 miles most days and that’s starting at 0830 ish and finishing about 1530.
Doc would be on the go from 0600 to 2000 ish each day !
I’d mix it up and do a good 300 mile blast on motorways followed by a bit of twisties then more motorway etc .
But that would require planning , eh Chris 😜🤔
