Doc does Dusseldorf and a German wedding

Set off early doors tomorrow from Manchester heading to Dusseldorf until Sunday. Been invited to a wedding from one of the girls who go to Cochem every year.
Stay here Thursday and Saturday night.

Getting picked up Friday morning heading to another hotel for the night and the wedding is on Friday. No idea where and could be a trap and get murdered.
Hotel Friday has been paid for by the bride & groom which is a nice touch. Dress code is i have got to wear something red. So its a red t-shirt which one of the girls has bought for me.
Plenty of time for me to have a billy no mates tour of Dusseldorf and sample a few bars in the area.

Have you never experienced Dusseldorf Karnival? You'll have to ask your hosts to explain. It's the biggest piss up imaginable. Starting Thurs lunchtime when women take over the council and have the authority to cut any man's tie (it's symbolic) and continuing as a party in the Altstat until the next Tues. Well worth visiting.

You will like Dusseleldorf had a week end on the drink there years ago the Altstadt was brilliant. (Altstadt (Old Town): Known as the "longest bar in the world" due to its density of over 300 pubs, bars, and breweries serving local Altbier)
